1. Overview

At Ctrl-X Digital Ltd, we aim to provide high-quality, reliable hosting services. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our hosting and related services. By using our services, you agree to abide by the terms set out in this document.

2. Keeping Up to Date

We may revise these terms from time to time. It is your responsibility to stay informed of any changes. However, we will notify you of any material updates that could impact your account or service.

3. Support

We provide support via email only to ensure all requests are logged and traceable.
Please consult the cPanel user manual for initial support before contacting us.
We aim to respond to most support queries within 48 hours.

Chargeable Support: If your issue relates to services outside our scope (e.g., third-party services, your local devices or software), support may be billed at our standard hourly rate.

4. Acceptable Use

Our services must only be used for lawful purposes. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

Storing or distributing copyrighted, obscene, or defamatory material
Hosting adult content or illegal material
Engaging in abusive or disruptive behaviour

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these policies. Ctrl-X Digital Ltd will be the sole arbiter of what constitutes a breach.

5. Server and Script Use

Background-running programs that disrupt server performance are not permitted.
You may use custom scripts provided they do not degrade server performance.
Scripts known to be resource-intensive (e.g., large message forums, banner exchanges, auctions, live chat rooms) may be disabled without prior notice if they affect server stability.

6. Resource Usage

Websites must not excessively impact shared server resources. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict services in such cases to maintain stability for all users.

7. Intellectual Property

You may not use our services to infringe intellectual property rights. This includes but is not limited to: trademarks, trade secrets, or copyrighted content.

8. Defamation

Defamatory content hosted or distributed via our platform is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination or legal action.

9. Spam & Unsolicited Emails

You must not send unsolicited emails (spam) using our services.
Your domain must not appear in spam-related content sent from any third-party system.
Any account found spamming will be suspended or terminated immediately without refund.

10. Abuse

Threats, harassment, libel, or attempts to undermine Ctrl-X Digital’s infrastructure or staff will result in immediate account termination and possible legal action.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Ctrl-X Digital Ltd from any claims, liabilities, losses, or legal fees arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of our services.

12. Billing & Payments

Hosting is billed monthly via Direct Debit or at an agreed frequency
Monthly invoices are sent on the 1st of each month; payment is collected shortly thereafter.
All invoices for support work are due within 14 days of issue.
Late payments may result in suspension or termination of your services.

13. Renewals

Hosting and domain services automatically renew unless you cancel in advance.
Cancellation requests must be submitted by email at least 30 days before renewal.
No refunds will be given for late cancellation or unused service time after renewal.

14. Cancellations

To cancel your account, email support with 30 days notice. Simply transferring or pointing your domain elsewhere does not constitute cancellation.

15. Refunds

You may cancel within 7 days of your first invoice to receive a full refund (excluding domain registration, SSLs, or setup fees).
After this period, no refunds are issued.

16. Domain Expiry & Redemption

Domain will be automatically renewed for their original registration duration unless otherwise advised.
Domains not renewed within 30 days enter a redemption period, during which additional recovery fees may apply. After the redemption period, domains may be released for public registration.
If you manage your own domain it is your responsibility to ensure renewals are processed correctly. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your domain.

17. Service Availability & Backups

We strive for reliable uptime, but do not guarantee 100% availability.
We perform regular backups, but clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
Ctrl-X Digital Ltd is not liable for data loss or associated consequences.

18. Communication & Account Ownership

All communication is between Ctrl-X Digital and the registered account holder.
If you’re purchasing on behalf of someone else, please ensure the account is registered in their name. We cannot communicate with third parties about an account.

19. Disclaimer

Ctrl-X Digital Ltd provides services “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or data integrity, and disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

20. Enforcement & Termination

Violations of these terms may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account termination. Ctrl-X Digital reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without notice.
